St Vitus cathedral at night
Every time I am crossing Charles Bridge coming from Old Town heading west, I can’t help but keep looking with fascination at Prague Castle’s huge complex. Prague Castle complex can’t be missed there in the distance, forming one of the most beautiful skyline views in any city in the world. In the evening or at night, with all the lights in the background illuminating the entire area, Prague castle complex steps up the city of Prague to a magical level.
One of the most important parts of the Prague Castle complex in Prague is the St. Vitus Cathedral. A stunning Gothic cathedral that was built in the mid fourteenth century. The cathedral is known for its complicated and detailed architecture, beautiful colorful stained-glass windows, and stunning views of the city. The cathedral’s interior provides an even more dramatic and mystical experience.
At night, St. Vitus Cathedral is illuminated by floodlights, giving it a magical and ethereal appearance. The cathedral’s spires and buttresses are highlighted in the warm glow of the lights, creating a stunning contrast against the dark night sky.
As many visitors were doing, I was enjoying a nighttime walk around the castle complex and take in the stunning views of the illuminated cathedral. It was such a beautiful feeling, you just want to stay and walk around and not go back home.
The nighttime view of St. Vitus Cathedral is truly a sight to behold and should not be missed by anyone visiting Prague. It is a truly unique and memorable experience that will stay with everyone long after a visit.
