During the fall, many large outdoor open pedestrian areas will have many small business owners build a small makeshift shops to sell their products. One very popular place is in front of the Palladium Mall.
Some sellers were displaying their handmade goods, like souvenirs, decorations, pieces of jewelry, clothes, food, drinks, pastries, desserts, and more. For me, the best part was the smell of the meat that’s been grilled over a fire.
Another pedestrian place, much bigger though, is Wenceslas square. Wenceslas square is one of the most famous places in the city center of Prague. This bustling square is the heart of the New Town and is home to many shops, restaurants, bars, cafes, markets, hotels, famous for shopping, nightlife, and more. At the end of the square, southeast, the National Museum is there in the distance facing the square.
During my last visit, the first week of October 2022, I saw artists wearing traditional clothes, and singing old traditional Czech songs. I saw a blacksmith in front of his small shop making small ornaments. It’s a meeting point for a lot of people, I saw friends hanging out and enjoying the atmosphere, and I saw couples meeting there and perhaps writing new chapters in their lives.
